Returns 

At Bay to Bay Ace Hardware, we strive to provide our customers with the highest quality products and excellent customer service. We understand that sometimes you may need to return an item you've purchased, and we want to make this process as easy and hassle-free as possible.

Instore Purchases

Whether you've changed your mind, received a defective or damaged product, or simply don't need the item anymore, we're happy to accept your return.

​

For items returned within 30 days of purchase with a receipt, we'll provide a refund back to the original payment method used for the purchase.

​

For returns after 30 days or without a receipt, we'll issue a merchandise credit for the item's current price. Please note that items must be in new and resalable condition to be eligible for a return.

 

Certain items are excluded from this policy, such as custom-made or special order items, as well as any items that have been opened, used, or damaged.

​

Returns after 90 days are not eligible for a refund.

​

To make a return, simply bring the item(s) and your original receipt. Our friendly and knowledgeable staff will be happy to assist you with the return process and answer any questions you may have.

Please note that some items may be subject to manufacturer restrictions or may not be eligible for return, such as custom-made or special order items. Additionally, certain products may require a restocking fee, which will be clearly indicated on the product page at the time of purchase.

Online Purchase

We recommend that you make returns of online purchases to any participating Ace retail store near you. You will need your online order number. 

Refunds for online orders will be issued automatically once the store processes the return, (less applicable shipping, handling, and other charges).

If you wish to return a Delivered, Assembled and/or Customized Item:

  • Tinted liquid interior or exterior paint is a Customized Item.

  • Tinted paint orders placed on acehardware.com are final and cannot be returned, refunded, or exchanged for a new color. On-screen and printer color representations may vary from actual paint colors, and Ace cannot honor returns or exchanges for digitally misinterpreted colors.

  • Customized items are final sale this includes but it not limited to custom mixed paint, custom cut product and custom instore orders not carried at our location .

  • Delivered items must be returned to the same local Ace store from which it was delivered. Delivery fees will not be refund. 

  • For Items with assembly a re-stocking fee of 15%, minimum of $20, for an item that has been assembled and returned but is not damaged or defective.

  • If you wish to return a Delivered, Assembled and/or Customized Item that Ace incorrectly fulfilled (for example, the wrong color, model or item), or if the item is damaged or defective, return the item(s) to the same store from which it was delivered, assembled and/or customized.

If you wish to return a STIHL product: STIHL products MUST be returned to the original store purchased/picked up from. 

​

Return Exceptions:

30 Day Return Policy does not include Gift Cards or Fuel-Powered Equipment. If you return merchandise that was purchased in whole or in part with one or more Rewards, the Reward(s) will be forfeited.

​

  • Gift Cards cannot be returned for any reason.

  • Fuel-Powered Equipment (such as grills, tillers, edgers, mowers, string trimmers, blowers, tractors, generators, chainsaws, snow blowers, as well as all other gas powered equipment) may be returned within 30 days of the date of purchase, with original receipt, provided that it is unused, in like-new condition and in its original packaging. Fuel-Powered Equipment cannot be returned once fuel or oil has been put in it, even if the equipment has been drained of these materials. If you put fuel or oil in the equipment you will need to contact the manufacturer regarding any product issues. The manufacturer will handle your claim in accordance with the manufacturer's policies. Authorized service center information can be found in the owner's manual or contact Customer Service at 1-866-290-5334 to obtain location information for service centers. Note that appropriate maintenance and use of your equipment is required to ensure manufacturer's specified warranty is not voided.

  • Clearance items are final sale.

  • Hazardous materials and products that use hazardous materials, such as flammable liquids or gasses are not eligible  return.

  • We reserve the right to limit paint returns at our discretion in the event of suspected fraud or abuse.

Fasteners SKU 56

Fasteners (56) can only be return or exchange with a physical receipt. Any product sold under the 56 SKU is subject to a 10% restocking fee when return or exchanged.
